How to change accommodation and move to another apartment
Change of accommodation on TripAways can be made after a request from the guest to one of the managers describing all the details and reasons for such request. According to our experience such case are extremely rare (not more than 1 case in 6 months) and can arise as a result of:
- Significant difference between the real apartment and its description on the website;
- Various interior or house appliance damages from the previous guests, which can’t be eliminated immediately and were noticed only be new guests;
- Personal reasons – guests may want to choose another area, have some conflicts with neighbors and face some other situations.
In all cases when the description of the apartment doesn’t correspond with the real state of it, and in case of serious damages, we work together with the guest in order to find similar accommodation in a couple of hours and move there. If new apartment is more expensive, the guest is not obliged to cover the difference. If new apartment is cheaper, TripAways refunds the difference in the price for the remaining period of stay.
If the guest wants to move of their own accord, they have to cover the difference in price (in case of such difference).
How to change accommodation?
If you faced a situation when you have to change previously booked accommodation, you have to complete the following steps:
- Write a message to TripAways manager in chat, call him by phone (you can use phones both in the apartment and at the reception desk of the apartment complex) use Skype or Telegram. Tell about your problem and reasons to leave. Depending on your case the manager will answer you by phone or will come to meet you in person;
- Our manager will send you several options of new apartments. You have to choose one of them and inform our manager about your choice;
- In case there’s a price difference required to be paid from your side, please cover such difference;
- Pack your belongings and move to the address indicated by the manager;
- Give keys from the old apartment and move to the new one.
In general, change of accommodation on TripAways is incredibly fast and totally harmless. Usually, it doesn’t take more than 2-3 hours.
However, it may take longer during the peak season when the majority of apartments is booked and it’s pretty hard to find you a new variant. In either case, we will do our best to solve your problem as soon as possible and choose the best and the most convenient option for you.
