How to cancel the booking?

 

Cancellation of the booking on TripAways can be done anytime, even during the stay when a guest wants to depart earlier.

The condition of the booking cancelation will depend on the time of the cancellation request:

  • In case if the user cancels the booking at least one week before the time of check-in, the user will receive the full refund without TripAways fees
  • If the cancellation of the booking takes place in the period from seven days up to one day before the check-in, the user will be able to receive 75% of the total price without the TripAways fees
  • If the user wants to cancel the order in less than one day before the check-in, the user will get only 50% of the price without the TripAways fees
  • If the cancellation of the booking takes place during the stay, the user will get only 50% of the remaining amount of days without the TripAways fees.

You need to remember that the arrival time is 12:00 on the first day of the booking. Thus, one day before the check-in is the previous day at 12:00.

Please note that the cancellation is not the same as compensation when the guest has a right to it. All the cases are thoroughly described in the “Guest compensation” section. In fact, the cancellation happens only in the case when the user wants to cancel the order without explaining the reason due to actions, which have no relation to TripAways and are not controlled by the company:

  1. Delay of a flight or a ship. In such situation, the user is obliged to arrive or depart earlier or later
  2. Personal situation (health issues or finding other accommodation)
  3. When it’s impossible to come to Dubai during the booked period...

...and other situations.

In order to cancel a booking, the user has to click “Cancel Booking” in the personal section of the website. The user can also call us or write in the chat offered on the website. If you decided to use the chat, we will ask you the contact number and some other information in order to avoid any misuse or fraud. If you want to get reimbursement, never use cancellation, and always write to the dedicated manager. Our representatives will always make a refund if you have a ground and right for it.

Never cancel your order if you want to stay in a different place! Always write or call your manager, and we will amend your booking in order to avoid expenses. You may be required to pay the difference. This is the normal thing here at TripAways.
