It all can start before even leaving, right at the airport where stressful security procedure and crowds of people mix with caloric fast food services. A flight doesn’t provide any rest for our body either. Once arriving in the new country, not many remember to follow a balanced diet, with new foods around and a need to loosen it a little bit. It’s a vacation after all!
But we think staying healthy and enabling well-being and a good energy level are crucial for satisfying rest. How can we do that?
There is a good habit of reading only for pleasure while on a plane. This means we stay away from work and add some fun instead, making any flight less stressful.
Look for fresh veggies
A rule of thumb is to take a healthy snack (or a meal) with you to the airport, so there is no starving and making choices you may later regret. In case of a layover, find an eatery selling fresh vegetables and fatless protein.
Work out in your hotel room
Not every hotel has a well-equipped gym, but you can always carry a mini band with you and use it, no matter whether you have a local gym and can afford a pass or not. There are options to train equipment free too, like exercising with your own body weight. We are talking press-ups, squats, lunges, planks, etc.
