Starting from the beginning of June the tourist fee in Ajman will be decreased from 10% to 7%. This decision was made by the head of Ajman, Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi. Currently, this decision is temporary, and it’s intended to attract more tourists during the so-called ‘low season’. The tourist fee is decreased until December 31.
The administration of the emirates is sure that this measure will allow reaching the number of 700,000 tourists in Ajman during the year. This limit is a part of the vast Vision 2021 program.
Ajman seriously wants to become the next touristic center in the Middle East. The government decided to decrease the touristic fee to 7%, and they want to attract more than 700,000 tourists to the emirate per year.
Before that Dubai and Abu Dhabi decreased the tourist fee, and this measure proved to be an effective tool, allowing increasing the overall income in the touristic field.
